We are Passionate Builders for Happy Cats

Getting Started
Building your dream catio starts with a little planning on your end. Follow these four steps and we’ll be able to give you a more accurate quote and quicker design.

1. Pick Your Spot
Decide where the catio will go. Most of our builds attach to the house so your cats can come and go through a window, door, or custom entry, but freestanding enclosures work too. Look for a location that:
- Sits against an exterior wall (ideally near a window or door for cat access)
- Has reasonably level ground
- Gets a mix of sun and shade through the day
2. Measure It Out
Grab a tape measure (or use your phone to measure) and write down the dimensions of the space:
- Width and depth of the footprint (how much ground it’ll cover)
- Height you want at the tallest point — most catios run 7 to 8 feet so you can walk in, but let us know if you want it shorter or taller
- Note the location of any windows, doors, vents, or fixtures on the wall it’ll attach to
Even rough numbers help. We’ll confirm everything before we build.
3. Take Good Photos
Clear pictures tell us almost everything we need. Please take:

- A few wide shots of the whole area from different angles
- Close-ups of the wall where it’ll attach, including any windows or doors
- The ground and foundation along the base
- Anything we should plan around (slopes, retaining walls, landscaping, utilities)
Shoot in daylight and make sure the full space is visible.
4. Upload to Our Form
